Apropos a news item titled ‘PTA blocks over 40m illegal SIM cards’ published in Daily Times on 18th February, 2023, it is clarified that the PTA has identified and blocked 4,395,566 SIM cards suspected to be involved in grey trafficking from 2020-22, not 40 million as erroneously published in the newspaper.
